Improvements of footpath toward Bødalsbreen

More and more people are using the trail from Bødalsseter towards Bødalsbreen. Because there are long stretches of wet terrain the hikers are liable to stake out new routes. Last fall, parts of the trail were improved with stone surface and replacement of the top soil. This work will continue, depending on weather conditions and water flow. In order to get the job done it is necessary to use steam shovel and caterpillar tracks. Only when water flow is low during late fall will it be possible bring in heavy machinery and to retrieve gravel from the river bed. We ask your indulgence for this inconvenience until the reconstruction work has been completed.
